it was st. patrick's day, and she was on her way to meet her college friends for green beer. he was working at a nearby fast food restaurant at the gas station she pulled into. he was on a break and started a conversation as she pumped gas. what music did she like, what she liked to do on her spare time, etc. there was something attractive about his confidence and politeness, even in his red fryer uniform. then he asked her for her number. she hesitated for a moment, but thought, well, he was a nice enough guy, and it's not like we're going to get married or something, she agreed to give him her number.
almost eleven years later, after asking her father for his blessing, he proposed at the same spot of their first date.
